About the Salon

The RiboRed RNA Salon is a seminar series supported by the RNA Society's RNA Salon program and co-sponsored by Lexogen. In September 2026 the RNA Society awarded RiboRed funding for the 2026/2027 academic year, together with three one-year student and postdoc RNA Society memberships.

Each year the Salon brings an international speaker to a Spanish RNA hub for a thematic seminar, masterclass or round table, combined with flash talks by early-career researchers and time to meet the speaker. All events are hybrid and open to the whole RNA community, inside and outside Spain.

Gender parity among invited speakers and a code of conduct at every event.
Flash talks and awards reserved for students and postdocs.
Early-career co-organisers lead speaker outreach, Q&A moderation and social media.
Hybrid format so that any group in Spain can take part online.

Planned hubs, 2026/2027

The Salon rotates between three cities each academic year, and every event is hybrid. Cities, themes and dates below are provisional until each event is confirmed and announced on the Events page.
