RiboRed

About

The Spanish RNA Society

A non-profit association of RNA researchers in Spain, built on more than twenty years of RiboRed meetings.

Mission

RiboRed, the Spanish RNA Society (Sociedad Española de ARN), is a non-profit scientific association that brings together researchers working on RNA biology across Spain. It grew out of the biennial RiboRed meetings, held since 2004, and was formally constituted as a society in June 2025.

The society organises the RiboRed meeting every two years, runs the RiboRed RNA Salon seminar series with the support of the RNA Society, and acts as a hub for collaboration, training and outreach for the Spanish RNA community.

  • Promote research on RNA biology in Spain, from fundamental mechanisms to biotechnology and therapeutics.
  • Foster collaboration and exchange among RNA research groups, institutions and companies.
  • Disseminate scientific advances in RNA science to the research community and to society.
  • Organise congresses, seminars and courses, and support the training of early-career researchers.
  • Represent the Spanish RNA community in international scientific networks.
