The Spanish RNA Society is formally constituted

After twenty years of biennial meetings, the RiboRed community becomes a registered non-profit association: Sociedad Española de ARN – RiboRed.

On 3 June 2025 the founding assembly approved the statutes of the Sociedad Española de ARN – RiboRed and elected its first board, chaired by Alfredo Berzal Herranz. The society was registered in the Registro Nacional de Asociaciones in November 2025.

The society's aims are to promote RNA research in Spain, foster collaboration, disseminate scientific advances and organise congresses, seminars and courses.
